Job Description

Position Summary:

The Credit One Bank Corporate Development group is our internal M&A deal team responsible for identifying, executing, and integrating inorganic growth opportunities pursuant to our holistic growth strategy. The group is a small but nimble team with a high level of executive exposure and presence. We are seeking a top-bucket analyst who will succeed in a fast-moving and highly unstructured environment.

 

The Corporate Development analyst will work closely with leadership, developing and maintaining valuation models and various analyses to evaluate growth opportunities. 

 

Successful candidates are versatile and able to multitask, comfortable and familiar with financial statements, and have a knack for distilling complex ideas into simple concepts.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in all aspects of the deal, including market research, networking, sourcing, qualification, initial rationale/pitch, financial modeling, due diligence, and closing integration activities.
  • Coordinate as a cross-functional deal team member within Credit One Bank as well as serve as a point of contact for target companies and sell-side advisory.
  • Ambitiously identify and qualify new ideas and target companies for Credit One Bank from both internal and external sources.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of work experience in investment banking, corporate development, corporate finance, or private equity
  • Superior analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, research capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
  • Ability to action new information and think quickly
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
  • Demonstrated logical and reasoning capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

 

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Prior experience with M&A transactions strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in financial services (or FIG modeling) preferred
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Factset, CapIQ, Pitchbook, or other market platforms
