The position of Risk Analyst II will primarily focus on driving customer acquisition through testing and operationalization of new product features. This position will also encompass evaluation, analysis, and reporting on the impact and performance of acquisition strategies.

Essential job responsibilities include hypothesis testing and statistical analysis, development and maintenance of reports to track performance and profitability, and presentation of findings/recommendations to upper management. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of analytical experience in banking, finance, insurance, or gaming with a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, math or a related field.

The position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President responsible for Acquisitions Risk Management.

Summary of Essential Job Functions


  • Design and execute statistical testing in digital and direct mail acquisition channels.
  • Oversee rollout of tested products and product features.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report the impact and performance of acquisition strategies.
  • Lead analysis in order to evaluate the risk of new and existing products.
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive incremental growth through the development of new strategies and the optimization of existing strategies.
  • Present findings to upper management and make recommendations for improvements.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Track record of creative problem solving and insightful statistical analysis.
  • Impressive communication skills and the ability to address technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 3+ years analytical experience in banking, finance, insurance or gaming.
  • 3+ years advanced use of SAS, SQL, or a similar language for data analysis.
  • Self-starter who can work independently on simultaneous projects in a results-driven environment.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information among various interrelated systems.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and profitability drivers.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, math or related quantitative field.

 Preferred (Not Required):

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in credit card customer acquisition
  • Experience collaborating on product development
  • Familiarity with data mining and financial modeling procedures
