Position Summary

The Business System Engineer II (BSE) requires strong documentation skills as well as creativity and technical understanding to put together a sound set of technical deliverables.


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Contributes to project plans and technical architecture design.
  • When assigned to projects, fully understands project scope, objectives, and timeliness and helps explain them to business staff and systems engineering staff.
  • Completes the development of work involving technical analysis, systems design, software development and system integration.
  • Maintains work including technical problem resolution, and system documentation maintenance.
  • Acts as an individual contributor on a high level, a technical expert and a business systems provider.
  • Mentors less experienced personnel.
  • Plays a part in the development of new principles and concepts in a specific discipline and will develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • 4+ years hands-on HTML, Java Script, AJAX, ASP.NET and WinForm development experience using C#.
  • Must have strong object oriented design, related model design, and problem solving skills.
  • 4+ years of industry standard systems analysis techniques including data modeling, process modeling, data flow diagramming, Unified Modeling Language UML.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Project.
  • Ability to work independently on projects assigned.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Worked with Oracle RDBMS 9i, 10g and SQL Server 2000, 2005 (preferred).
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (preferred).
