Position Summary

The Data Analyst/ Developer II is a subject matter expert in the systems related to their area of responsibility. The Data Analyst/ Developer II performs systems analysis, design, development, and maintenance activities in support of Risk systems. The Data Analyst/ Developer II is an individual who possesses business knowledge and technical expertise related to their areas of responsibility and is skilled in systems functionality, project management, and change management.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for developing and managing the automation and maintenance of Risk based programs and processes.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing ETL jobs, dashboards and reports that will provide support in insuring that the company goals are met.
  • Contributes to and assists in defining best practices around code and dashboards development, testing, and refresh scheduling.
  • Analyzes data contained in the corporate database(s) and identifies data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implements solutions.
  • Anticipates issues based on knowledge of business trends and proposes direction and solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects and changes are well documented.
  • Responsible for auditing and quality control to ensure that work meets quality standards.
  • Assists in troubleshooting of reporting, data and technical issues.
  • Performs user acceptance testing and enforces proper change control when implementing changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Position Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline with 2-4 years of hands on experience.
  • 2+ years risk management or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate understanding of stored procedures, SQL queries, views, and complex joins.
  • Hands on experience utilizing ETL tools (e.g. SSIS) and good understanding of data transformation steps to cleanse, apply business logic, aggregate and summarize data for reporting purposes.
  • Experience working with and developing complex reports using Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, VBA, and Macros.
  • Strong aptitude for enhancing and automating queries (T-SQL) from various data sources such as relational databases (e.g. Oracle and SQL Server), data warehouse or flat files.
  • Demonstrate experience working with one or more of the following: SSAS, SSRS, SAS, Oracle, SQL Server, or SharePoint.
  • Proven strong analytical, conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills.
