Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for processing adjustments, transactions or payments timely and accurately to credit card account holders. Be able to apply various established criteria to situations in order to make decisions on how to processing transactions on accounts.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

 

  • Researches and corrects billing errors/payment issues within timeframes specified in Federal banking regulations

  • Approval, validation and distribution of credit balance refunds

  • Handling return items (paper and ACH)

  • Processing customer adjustments related to but not limited to payments and fee adjustments.

  • Review and validate customer activity

  • Prepare payments for deposit

  • Data entry, daily balancing of transactions and quality validation

  • Insure daily functions are completed accurately and within the deadlines of the department

  • Maintains necessary operating records, check lists and procedures to ensure accuracy and completion of function

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

 

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years bank or Credit Union operations or other payment exceptions work experience
  • Working knowledge of payment exceptions processing required including good reconciliation skills and an understanding of debit and credit transactions
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills, strong PC skills, Windows, MS Word and Excel required

  • Must have a vast understanding of macros, recorders and Visual Basics

  • Will work under moderate supervision and exercise reasonable judgment in performing duties

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience posting payment adjustments to cardholder accounts via online and batch processing in FDR system
