Position Summary

Credit One Bank is a leading issuer of VISA branded credit cards with over 8 million active customers. With ever changing portfolio risk and profitability dynamics, and the drive to expand the business substantially beyond current levels, the Bank seeks to fill a position on its Portfolio Growth Risk Management- Customer Engagement team.

The Risk Analyst II performs analysis in support of the Operational Risk Management Program. Primary responsibilities include: analysis & documentation of Operations and IT processes, development of monitoring tools (SAS & Tableau), executing monitoring procedures and development and management of Action Plans. The Risk Analyst II is and individual who possesses both technical expertise and the ability to communicate at all levels. The Risk Analyst II should be grounded in SAS (or similar analytical tool), have some experience developing visualizations and have fundamental knowledge of Business Process Management.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Analysis (analyze data, ad-hoc analysis), documentation and build of business processes including identification of internal control risks.
  • Develop and execute monitoring procedures (technology enabled internal controls) to provide assurance processes are operating as designed.
  • Create and manage action plans to remedy control gaps and operational failures.
  • Build cross functional relationships, partnering with IT, Marketing, Operations and Risk Management to acquire detailed knowledge of designs, function and effectiveness of systems and customer engagement human interactions in order to write effective processes which will lead to new strategies.
  • Produce narrative, presentations, reports and analysis commensurate with the standards expected by senior management. Such materials will describe risks and clearly articulate recommendations for improvement.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in MIS, Programming, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Statistics, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Associates degree with minimum of 3+ years’ data analytics experience.
  • Functional experience with SAS, SQL or Tableau and advanced Excel required.
  • 3+ years’ data analytics experience required.
  • Must have well-developed organizational and prioritization skills along with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in Risk Management or equivalent banking/credit card industry experience preferred.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and highly-complex environment.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, conceptual and quantitative problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio).
  • BPM and Six Sigma experience is desirable.
