Position Summary:

Credit One Bank is a leading issuer of VISA branded credit cards with over 8 million active customers. With ever changing portfolio risk and profitability dynamics, and the drive to expand the business substantially beyond current levels, the Bank seeks to fill a position on its Portfolio Growth Risk Management- Customer Engagement team.

 

In the role of Risk Analyst II, the position will be primarily responsible for managing the Retention and Reinstatement programs. This position will be responsible for measuring strategy effectiveness, managing loss rates, execute solicitation campaigns, and strategy development for test/control programs to optimize target rates for the programs. This position will also create reporting and leverage effective MIS to evaluate the performance of the Retention and Reinstatement programs and make data-driven recommendations regarding potential strategy changes for the program. In addition, this position will work closely with Operations partners to determine the efficacy of agent retention and monitor call quality and adherence to established regulatory and company guidelines.

 

This position should be a subject matter expert regarding consumer behavior, data analysis, strategy design, forecasting, credit bureau attributes, P&L drivers, and financial analysis. Previous experience in risk or marketing strategy for retention, reinstatement, or consumer loyalty is highly desired. The position reports directly to the Lead Analyst for the Portfolio Growth Risk Management team for Customer Engagement.

Job Requirements

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative area such as finance, economics, mathematics, marketing or statistics is required (advanced degree a plus).

 

  • Competencies using SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, Excel and Tableau (or similar) are required (advanced skills and data mining experience both a plus).

 

  • Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and evaluate, financial time-series tracking reports (including vintage analysis) is required.      

 

  • Fundamental knowledge of credit scoring, credit underwriting, and credit risk management is preferred.      

 

  • Previous financial services experience, specifically in the credit card industry is preferred.

 

  • Previous experience with customer retention, customer experience, and consumer loyalty is preferred.

 

  • Familiar with a wide variety of credit card industry concepts, practices, and procedures including loss forecasting, account management strategy, and acquisitions strategy is desirable.
