Position Summary:

 

Credit One Bank is a leading issuer of VISA branded credit cards with over 7 million active customers.  With ever changing portfolio risk and profitability dynamics, and the drive to expand the business substantially beyond current levels, the Bank seeks to fill a newly created position on its Portfolio Risk Management team.

 

The Portfolio Risk Management team is responsible for various risk activities that impact existing customers. These include account management functions such as Credit Line Increase, Collections and Customer Service strategies. The team is also responsible for managing the bank's Multiple Accounts Program. A qualified candidate would be capable of supporting any of the programs within the Portfolio Risk Management team. Portfolio Risk Management is currently seeking a Risk Analyst III to support Collections Strategies. This individual will support segmentation, dialer, volume allocation and general Collections efforts accross the entire internal and agency network.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

 

  • Previous financial services experience is required; credit card industry experience is preferred.  Experience managing an analytical team is a plus.  Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant experience plus Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative area such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics is required, Master’s degree is preferred. 

 

  • Extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial analyses.

 

  • Design and Execution of Champion/Challenger testing. 

 

  • Track, Review and Present test results.

 

  • Support Collections Operations team by providing analytic support and articulating the impacts of operations activities on overall performance.

 

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in various aspects of Collections: Dialer strategy, work out programs, recoveries, segmentation, etc.

 

  • Partners with technology groups to define business requirements, performs user aceptance testing, and implements complex changes.

 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

 

  • Fundamental knowledge of experimental design, Champion/Challenger testing and segmantation techniques.

 

  • Advanced software competencies using SAS Enterprise Guide  and Minor and/or SQL and Excel.

 

  • Effective data mining skills and the ability to explain changing data dynamics.
