Position Summary

The Risk Analyst, Collections Intern will develop two distinct models for business purposes. The first model will be a new approach for a Pre-Call model tree, the second model will be the new Challenge strategy for single credit card portfolio. The main idea is to bring new attributes to the model tree and change the order of the risk level associated with the account in order to improve the agency collection process.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Determine and gather the correct data to create a base needed to build the Pre-Call model tree in SAS Eminer.
  • Determine and gather the correct data to create a base needed to build the new Challenger strategy for the single credit card portfolio model tree in SAS Eminer.
  • Data and documentation accuracy validation.
  • Extraction of development samples and out-of-time samples.
  • Develop various model trees in determination of correct approach as a strategic business proposal.
  • Create documentation in support of all assigned tasks.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.


Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics (emphasized in Statistics).
  • Master’s degree in data analytics (work in progress).
  • Knowledge of programing in SAS, SQL and Tableau.
