Job Description

This is a newly created position within the finance department focused on both preparing and validating excel based financial models, supporting ad-hoc financial analysis, and acting as a key resource within this growing department.

 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with an ability to analyze and manage data, and draw meaningful conclusions from their analysis. This position requires a good understanding of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and project management.

  



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build sophisticated excel based models that will support strategic decision making
  • Analyze, review and provide recommendations on models and analysis prepared by others
  • Utilize database tools to manage, manipulate and analyze large sets of financial information
  • Play a key role supporting the team in the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested, primarily related to forecasting, modelling and budgeting topics
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations

Job Requirements



JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or related field
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in finance
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Very strong excel skills and the ability to build complex models
  • Must be proficient in data mining and data modeling procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team on a day-to-day basis
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Inquisitive and eager to dig into the data to identify trends
  • Ability to be creative and consider multiple solutions to solve financial problems
  • Ideally the candidate has prior experience in FP&A, investment banking, or private equity
  • Financial services experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of SQL / Database tools /SAS preferred, but not required
  • CFA (or currently pursuing) preferred, but not required
