Position Summary

The Web Developer’s main responsibility is the development, and support, of the display functionality and user experience of websites that are built and supported by the IT department. 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for the design, development, and upkeep of both public facing web sites, and internal web applications, using approved technology and industry best practices.
  • Work alongside middle tier developers to create sites that interact with internal data and external sources. 
  • Act as the point of contact for any problems found in the user-interface of the websites.
  • Assist other developers by researching and correcting user-interface functionality involving both existing and newly developed sites.

 

 

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • 4+ years hands-on HTML, Java Script and CSS development
  • Experience developing public facing websites and understanding of security principals
  • Strong knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform differences
  • Experience utilizing JQuery
  • Proven project experience using a web UI framework (Bootstrap, Foundation, JQueryUI)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Project
  • Candidate must be able to work independently on projects assigned
  • Experience with AngularJS and AJAX (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 elements and CSS3 as well as accommodating legacy browser conflicts (preferred).
  • Familiar with Object Oriented programming designs (preferred).
  • Familiar with best practices regarding design and user experience test planning and execution (preferred).
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and working as part of a cross-functional development team (preferred).
